Refresh your space for spring without losing those warm, lived-in vibes.
Spring is here, and while I love the fresh energy it brings — sunshine, flowers, open windows — I’m still a cozy-at-heart kind of girl. Just because the season is changing doesn’t mean you have to trade in all your warm textures and soft layers. In fact, spring is the perfect time to reimagine coziness with lighter touches, soft colors, and nature-inspired accents.
Here are five easy, intentional ways I’m bringing cozy spring vibes into my home right now:
1. 🌼 Layer in Lighter Textures
Think soft linen throw blankets, cotton pillow covers, or gauzy curtains that let the light dance through. I swap out my heavier knits for breezy fabrics that still feel homey but don’t weigh the space down.
Tip: Try mixing in light gingham or floral patterns — they feel seasonal without being too “theme-y.”
📷 Photo idea: A styled corner with a linen throw, a light floral pillow, or your bird/floral curtains in the office.
2. 🍓 Add Pops of Muted Color
Spring doesn’t have to mean neon pastels — you can still keep your signature cozy palette. I like muted blues, mossy greens, soft blush pinks, and earthy terracotta tones. Even just adding a few colorful candles or a pink taper set can bring a space to life.
Easy swap: Drape a patterned tea towel on your oven handle or switch out a few pillow covers to bring in those seasonal tones.
📷 Photo idea: Kitchen with an earthy-toned tea towel or styled dining area with green cabinet backdrop.
3. 🕯️ Freshen Up Your Vignettes
If you’re like me, you probably have little “moments” all over your home — styled shelves, trays, or mantels. This time of year, I like to refresh them with a mix of thrifted finds, spring blooms, and vintage-style prints.
Think: bud vases with fresh clippings, a floral teacup holding matches, or a tiny antique bunny figurine.
📷 Photo idea: A tray with a candle, mini vase, stack of books, and a soft seasonal touch (like a faux flower or berry branch).
4. 🌿 Bring the Outdoors In
Even if it’s still chilly where you are, a few branches or fresh flowers go a long way. I love using clippings from my yard in mismatched vases, jars, or pitchers.
No garden? No problem — Trader Joe’s florals or even a faux eucalyptus garland can do the trick.
📷 Photo idea: Styled bud vase on your entry table or a wide shot of spring flowers on your dining table.
5. 🧺 Make a Seasonal Ritual Corner
Spring is a great time to start or refresh a little home ritual — maybe it’s a journaling nook, a spot for your morning coffee, or a cozy chair by the window for afternoon reading.
Style it intentionally with things that bring you joy: a candle, your favorite mug, a soft cushion, a stack of journals or books.
📷 Photo idea: Your ritual spot (even a styled corner chair or shelf with a spring candle and book stack).
🌸 Cozy Doesn’t Have to Be Seasonal
The biggest takeaway? You don’t have to stop being a cozy girl just because spring has sprung.
Let your space evolve with the season, but keep the heart of it the same: warm, lived-in, layered with love.
